Quote of the Day

By punch bowl | July 20, 2007

From Medill Reports:

DeLay began his speech by congratulating the departing president, Gourley: “I appreciate … your service to the College Republicans and the conservative movement,” said DeLay. “You’ve had a distinguished career. You obviously have a brilliant future.”

Distinguished? Brilliant? Does anybody else think this is funny?

Did someone tell Daniel Bell to get a life in the comments on that chickenhawk story? It looks like Taylor Burks is a problem, we know, as is evident in this story, that he likes to cry to anyone that will listen.

    Man-up and post your name.

I don’t remember starting a new argument with anyone. Who keeps dragging my name into these spats? It is ridiculous, having to continually listen to CR politicking when we’ve all got better things to do.

How can CRs strive to become a more professional organization with people holding grudges that tear the Party down? It seems that even with Gourley, et al, gone, CRs still have some cancers left to remove.

I’m with you Taylor. Some people need to grow up and move on…
