CNN lends support to illogical Chickenhawk premise

By sage of monticello | July 30, 2007

A couple of weeks ago I argued that the chickenhawk premise was ridiculous because it assumes that one cannot politically support a public policy while not being a direct participant or beneficiary within that policy.

Additionally, I pointed out how the supposed logical legitimacy of this premise is hypocritical when used by the left because they manipulate it to achieve pre-determined political goals, i.e. they use this premise when talking about Iraq, but ignore it when discussing social welfare policy.

Well, last night CRNC Co-Chair Nick Miccarelli went on CNN to take the fight to the powerhouse of the liberal media and its viewers: CNN. But through cheap editing and less than covert bias, CNN made the chickenhawk premise seem more than credible.

Newsbusters has the video and the script of the five minute segment.
