Candidate Spotlight: Mitt Romney
By rawhide | August 1, 2007
Mitt Romney’s official website can be found at www.mittromney.com.
The Romney campaign released its eighth campaign ad yesterday, on immigration and border security.
My favorite Romney video is a documentary of the family’s 2006 Christmas retreat in Colorado, where they supposedly made the final decision about Mitt running for president. The video is narrated by Romney’s wife, Ann, and is very well done.
Romney has worked hard on youth outreach. There is a “Students for Mitt” website, www.studentsformitt.com. Grant Starrett is national chairman, and Philip Case is national co-chairman. There is also a very interesting incentive program. Students who raise more than $1,000 for Romney receive a 10% commission.
Mitt Romney’s Facebook profile has more than 13,400 friends. The official Facebook group is “Romney 2008,” which has 4,844 members. Ryan Bilodeau, the trouble-making chairman of the Rhode Island CRs, is the highest profile supporter.
