Elite Eight

By cr nation | August 2, 2007

Eight states have moved on to the final round to determine the best federation in the country. An incredible 253 votes were cast in just four days. The Northeast and Midwest each sent three states to the next level. The South and West have only one representative, but don’t dare count out Georgia or Arizona yet.

Regional winners:

Northeast - New Jersey (27)
South - Georgia (20)
Midwest - Ohio (19)
West - Arizona (15)

Wild cards:

Connecticut (21)
Rhode Island (18)
Missouri (16)
Michigan (16)

Voting will end at midnight Sunday.

Anyone else love the fact a state that wasn’t federated a month ago placed 2nd in the first round?

New Jersey really has their act together…from former chairman Luna to the current chairman Chris Stark, NJ is really pushing forward to turn a blue state back to red

a reflection of the change which will sweep CT throughout the next year. The time and date of its federation is irrelevant, the agenda and reform pursued by the leadership is the most prominent issue.

Wrong. It does not ask who WILL have the best state federation. It asks who has it now. And even so - Connecticut? Really?

Michigan, Rhode Island and Georgia are great federations. CT and NJ are incestuous organizations who can’t even manage to update their websites. Maine, Ohio and California are obviously the best 3 federations in the country.

I think Missouri is a sleeper

Amendment to my previous statement: Keep in mind Missouri has Justin Smith(Midwestern Chair), Samantha Hill(Missouri State Chair), but also Mike Keough(DC Chairman) who hails from Wildwood Mo; and Patrick Binning (Illinois State Chair) who hails from Springfield Mo. Quite an influence and impression to say the least

Incestuous Organization? O sure…the Conservative Comeback of the Year, the most powerful grassroots republican organization in our state, the only state to even mount a challege against a democratically controlled senate seat in the last election…yeah we must suck…see its these type of comments that cause people to view the CRs in a negative manner…myself and Mr. Brewster (CT Chairman) worked together on the 2006 race and it doesn’t matter what this or any poll says, the people of our state know they can count on New Jersey College Republicans

If you want to talk who brings the most legit campaign experience and political knowledge to the table, Chris Stark is probably one of the best Chairmen in CR’s. I worked with him on the NJ US Senate race in 06 and he helped re-build them into a cornerstone of NJ campaigns. If you don’t vote for CT in the poll, vote for NJ.
