Under intense pressure, Sen. Craig resigns
By sage of monticello | September 1, 2007
According to CNN (who is probably giddy about yet another gay GOP sex scandal, which may explain why they always seem to have an article about Craig):
Sen. Larry Craig said Saturday he will resign, succumbing to rapidly intensifying pressure from within his own Republican Party.
During the press conference, held today at 10:30 am in Boise Idaho, Craig said that:
The people of Idaho deserve a senator who can devote 100 percent of his time and effort to the critical issues of our state and of our nation. Therefore it is with sadness and deep regret that I announce that it is my intent to resign from the Senate, effective September 30th.
At the end, someone helled out “We love you Larry!”
But don’t worry, I have good reason to believe that it was a woman, not a man…
Not that Sen. Craig cares…
I wonder what is keeping him from devoting 100% of his time to the issues of our country. Hopefully not anymore airport bathrooms…
