Blog targets College Republican Morgan Wilkins

By punch bowl | September 3, 2007

Morgan Wilkins was recently the subject of a post titled The Wisdom of YAFer Morgain Wilkins on a blog called YAF Watch.

From YAF Watch:

Morgan Wilkins, the political genius who proposed running “Catch and Illegal Immigrants Day” and “Fun with Guns” (and was later fired by the College Republicans and denounced by GOP Chair Ken Mehlman) has claimed that liberals are not prepared for a truly free marketplace of ideas.

The market ultimately decided vigilante immigration games and shooting cardboard cutouts of Democrats didn’t quite make the cut of great ideas. Below are a few more ideas likely to sink in the marketplace of free ideas. These ideas come from her blog.

The “few ideas” that YAF Watch refers to and which Morgan has written on include limited government, extending political rights to the unborn, freedom, political discourse and the American soldier.

Call me a radical fringe blogger, but these hardly seem like ideas that are destined “to sink in the marketplace of free ideas.”

General idea of a “Fun with Guns” day:
Great idea. Brilliant. I could not possibly agree more.

Taking turns shooting at pictures of Democratic Party figures:
    Not so much.

Morgan Wilkins is not a good spokesperson for the conservative movement. She is an admitted drug user, her morals are lose and she abandons her kid while she travels around as a Republican groupie.

    Nick,

I don’t judge the character of people I don’t know; and I don’t know Morgan. If you know Morgan and feel you can adequately judge her, then be my guest.

But when I don’t know someone, all I judge is the content of their writing and in this case the content of Morgan’s writing is very good.

Well, I know Morgan and she’s not a social conservative even though she claims she is. She drinks, gets it on with the men and women and is not exactly the type of person we should be highlighting. Her and the right-wing fascists have done the Republicans so much damage.

How long will Morgan be attacked for things that happened when she was a teenager? It is so pathetic.

Morgan is smart, idependent, and works her ass off for the conservative movement. She stands by her beliefs even when NO one else does. That is admirable.

Leave her son out of things, I doubt any of you have a clue how well her son is taken care of.

The point of this post is to say that her articles are being attacked by liberals but her articles are very good and on point.
