Ron Paul set to surprise
By sage of monticello | September 30, 2007
Real Clear politics is reporting the Ron Paul expects to exceed fundraising expectations this quarter. His campaign is expected to take in more thant $1 million.
While this is not ground shaking, it does indicate a growing support for Mr. Paul’s message. Predications are being made that Mr. Paul’s candidacy will not run its course until well into caucus season, even as far as Super Tuesday - especially when considering how frugally Mr. Paul’s campaign spends money.

The $1 million (actually close to $1.2 million) is the not the money Paul raised during the entire quarter, it’s money raised online in the final week of the quarter, which ends in a couple of hours.
You heard right: $1.2 million in one week, only counting online donations.
Huge.

I can’t really predict how high the total is going to be, but expect it to be way bigger than the Q2 results.
This 1.2M in a week online is a big bump, and over the past month or so Paul was selling out 500 and 1000 dollar per plate events. Easy half million there, plus all the normal online fundraising.
