Kentucky’s Kalling: Help elect a Republican Governor in the Blue Grass State

By punch bowl | October 9, 2007

Friday thru Sunda, November 2-4, and election day, November 6, the state of Kentucky will be in 72 hour mode.

For those of you who may be new to the College Republican way of life, 72-hour is our crunch time. It is the final days before the election in which College Republicans flood neighborhoods and phone lines with volunteers looking for votes for Republican candidates.

In Kentucky, Brent Burchett, Chairman of the Kentucky College Republicans, informs me that they need particular help in Lexington, Louisville, and Northern Kentucky (near Cincinnati).

Free hotel rooms and accommodations await College Republicans from around the country on November 2nd-4th, as the Kentucky Federation of College Republicans GOTV for our November 6th Election.

Why help? Well the stakes are high. Up for election are all statewides offices, including the Governorship. For Kentucky the re-election of the first Republican Governor in 30 years, Gov. Ernie Fletcher, is a must.

Brent tells me that Friday night the KFCR Officers will help you settle in to your hotel and get you acclimated to Kentucky bourbon; and that Saturday and Sunday, you’ll branch out into the bluegrass for phone banking and door-to-door operations, with rallies and entertainment in the evening.

Your arrival and departure is entirely up to you, but majority of the work will be on Saturday.

College Republicans spread Republican principles on campus and help elect Republicans. People, this opportunity is what we do, it is why we exist. Now get out there and elect a Governor!

If you are interested, and you should be, get in touch with Brent per the contact information below.
