You work “for an organization with barefaced ties to terrorism”
By punch bowl | October 25, 2007
This amazing attack was made by the University of Wisconsin - Madison College Republicans Chair Sara Mikolajczak, in response to a letter in the student newspaper earlier this week. The full column by Ms. Mikolajczk is below.
On Tuesday, October 23, the Daily Cardinal ran a Letter to the Editor from a woman named Lori Saroya that essentially damned Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week (IFAW) and everyone associated with it, calling them “some of the biggest racists, Islamophobes, homophobes, anti-Semites, and bigots in America.” Please note, at this point, that Ms. Saroya works for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).
Not only did Ms. Saroya get her information wrong when presenting her arguments against IFAW, but she also works for an organization with barefaced ties to terrorism.
The FBI’s former chief of counterterrorism, Steven Pomerantz, notes that “CAIR, its leaders, and its activities effectively give aid to international terrorist groups.” I, for one, find it alarming that a group whose mission is “to enhance understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding” has known ties to known terror organization Hamas and has been listed in lawsuits along side those responsible for 9/11.
Not only does CAIR have these connections, but there are also numerous employees and board members that have been arrested, convicted, and otherwise linked to terrorist activities. Among those links are conspiring to help Al-Qaeda and the Taliban battle American troops in Afghanistan, possessing directions on how to manufacture and use explosive and chemical weapons, and providing millions of dollars to Hamas, Saddam Hussein, and other terrorist regimes through false charities.
And that’s only the beginning.
It seems to me, that the Daily Cardinal, by printing this filth, is helping to perpetuate the vitriolic loathing encouraged by CAIR. I would encourage the readership of the Daily Cardinal to find a more intelligent and less hateful source of daily news.
They certainly don’t hold any punches in Wisconsin!
