Please. Media manipulation by Drudge. The Dems have nothing to do with this story.
Huckabee certainly isn’t the favorite of the Republican Establishment. Which begs the question, why is this blog attacking him all of the time?

Check your facts. DNC denies releasing that statement to drudge. It is believed that someone in support of Romney impostered as a DNC insider.

Check the reports. DNC did not release that statement. It is believed a Romney supporter impostered as a DNC insider…

Minuteman Founder Jim Gilchrist endorsed Governor Huckabee today. Governor Huckabee also gained two key Florida endorsements: House Speaker Marco Rubio and State Rep. David Rivera. They will join State Senate Majority Leader Daniel Webster on Governor Huckabee’s Florida Leadership team.

Drudge is a reputable meida source. Taylor Burks and D.C. are not.
When a reputable source puts out a story there is a presumption as to its validity, unless there are facts to support otherwise.
Mr. Burks offers no facts suggest the invalidity of the story carried by Drudge.
Equally unpersuasive are the comments from D.C., who like Burks, offers no facts to support his position that the story is untrue.
Bottomline is Huckabee probably gets destroyed in the general election because he gets out the base for the Republican Party, but not hte middle and we are going to need the middle to win in ‘08 - the Democrats know this and are keeping there mouths shut.

Two key Florida endorsements? Not so much.

Okay, Sage. Hide behind your anonymity to attack people.
You should also provide some FACTS to back up your assertion that Huckabee loses the middle and rallies the base. All of your posts argue he is unappealing to fiscal conservatives, and so you say he would lose that part of the base. I don’t necessarily buy that, but that is at least a coherent suggestion, unlike your assertion that he loses the middle. I guess you disregard polls that show he is just as competitive against the Dems as our other top-tier candidates.
