If you would provide the full quote I think you would understand what Thompson was actually saying when he was quoted.
Mainly Thompson was alluding to the fact that he isn’t power hungry and he doesn’t enjoy dealing with a biased and inept media. Makes sense to me. In fact, this is very refreshing.
Thompson is willing to say what he believes even when he probably knew the media would spin this as a negative.
