McTiernan resigns, Scholl to take over
By sage of monticello | January 3, 2008
Erin McTiernan, Chair of the New York College Republicans, has resigned to take a position in a New York state senator’s office as Communications Coordinator. McTiernan will be replaced by Caitlin School, the current Co-Chair.
The message was provided by a CR Nation mole and is reproduced in part below.
As many of you know, I recently took a job as Communications Coordinator with a New York State Senator. It was a great opportunity and I feel privileged to be given the chance to work in this capacity for the Senator. However, due to the demands of my new job, I have made the decision to step down as State Chair of the New York College Republicans.
This decision was not an easy one for me to make. For the past 2 years, the New York College Republicans have transformed into a truly dynamic grassroots organization…I am proud to say the days of internal politics that once plagued and discredited our organization among party leaders in the state are gone. We have built our reputation to be known across the state as hardworking, dedicated, college students…
It has been a true honor to serve you as your State Chair and I will miss everyone that I have worked with during my tenure. I wish the best of luck to the NYCRSC and know the best is yet to come…
Caitlin Scholl, our current Co-Chair, will be assuming the role of State Chair and I have complete faith in her that she will lead the NYCRSC with dedication, integrity, and honesty.
