Students 4 Victory in Iraq to present students with Activism opportunities

By sage of monticello | January 16, 2008

This is the latest from Students for Victory in Iraq. The below message was delivered via their facebook group.

Over the past month Students for Victory in Iraq has been working hard to prepare the organization for the next great challenge that the pro-victory coalition faces- General David Petraeus’ testimony before Congress in March.

Our side has the momentum, but immediately following General Petraeus’ testimony we expect to see another round of defeatist pressure to force an untimely withdrawal of American forces and more cuts in our support of Iraq’s democratic government.

Some of you have noticed that there were no action alerts sent out at the beginning of the month, and this occurred because we have been developing our action plan, ‘Eight Weeks to Assessment’.

This campaign will prepare Students for Victory in Iraq to take a larger role in the pro-victory coalition just in time for the March report. Every week we will send you an easy action item, and cumulatively these will build up to a great impact in March. We plan to release this in the next few days, so keep your eyes open!
