Mitt winning Maine

The Maine CRs report that..
Mitt Romney is the early leader in presidential preference voting by Maine Republicans as the first returns are being counted today from the party’s municipal caucuses.
Romney, the former Massachusetts governor, had 59% of the vote with 3% of the towns holding caucuses reporting. Ron Paul trailed with 19%, John McCain had 18%, and Mike Huckabee and undecided votes each had about 2%.
The nonbinding votes, the first step toward electing 18 Maine delegates to the Republican National Convention, are taking place in public schools, fire stations and town halls across the state.
Despite a sleet storm the night before, officials are reporting heavy turnout. At one Augusta elementary school, cars were seen jammed into the parking lot.
Republican caucuses are being held in about 410 Maine municipalities, including some tomorrow.
