A CR on CPAC

This year’s CPAC stinked … the parties weren’t fully attended, there were far too many CR guys and more and more freshmen and sophomores instead of the older crowd of CRs that everyone knows.

I concur with the report by CR Nation’s correspondent. Will CPAC organizers please consider moving the conference back to the most common spring break week for college students? CPAC admits that about 54% of its attendees are students, so why not have a week that accommodates a majority of students across the country.

I went to the “Bold and the Beautiful” party and it was ok - not great and certainly lots of under-21s there! They policed the under-21s very carefully and a significant number were thrown out for being caught with alcohol. At about 11.30-11.45pm, they asked all under-21s to leave and the size of the party diminished significantly! I left soon after.

Wait, isn’t it a good thing there are more and more freshman and sophomores? Doesn’t that show that we’re doing our jobs at recruiting new members?

The Bold and Beautiful party was fantastic!! The place was packed - people were still waiting to get in. The party officially ended at midnight, I think, or thats when open bar closed and also when it turned back into an over 21 club.

Over Spring Break? Thats a miserable idea.
The Bold and the Beautiful party was great… they did police unders … I mean it is the law… I do have sympathy for the unders (only recently turning 21) but I don’t think you can call an event a dud because people couldn’t drink underage…
Top notch booze till Midnight. Tons of people. Relatively good looking girls. can’t complain
DCFest blew as did Mainefest. Still a fun weekend though.

Maybe it is a good thing that you aren’t seeing as many “older crowd” CRs. Time to move on guys….
Out with the old, in with the new. It is best for the organization.

Mainefest was awesome. It was a lot of older CRs tho, as many under 21s could not get in. I heard the crowd was much better than DCfest tho.

Mainefest did blow this year… try finally arriving at the front of the line to find the open bar was closed… and I can remember the party because I left sober.

The open bar went for longer than the CRNC gig, grow up.
