Lennox testifies before state senate committee

By punch bowl | February 25, 2008

Below is video of Dennis Lennox testifying at a state senate subcommittee hearing on Friday about his ongoing confrontation with Democratic congressional candidate Gary Peters.

Lennox asked the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Higher Education to delay any funding increase for University of Central Michigan until the situation is resolved.

Peters is a professor who makes $3,000 an hour while he runs for Congress. Lennox is a student who want Peters to choose Congress or the classroom, arguing that Peters can’t faithfully fullfil his duties as professor while a candidate.

Lennox needs to focus on his education and grow up. The reason his grades dropped is probably because he spends all his time playing activist and going on overseas trips that many well-to-do people would envy. He’s nothing more than an attention seeker who derives a false sense of self-importance from political activism.

Putting that aside, Lennox really should work on his appearance. He looks like a little leprechaun. He needs to get rid of that homosexual haircut and those ridiculous glasses. He tries to dress like an intellectual but he’s clearly not (FYI, Central Michigan University isn’t exactly at the top of the list for educational quality). In addition, nearly every time he takes a picture, he looks like a deer caught in the headlights.

Anyway, this guy really annoys me so I apologize for my rant. He’s nothing more than a little rich kid who can’t do anything else but petty political work and yet manages to build an ego from it.

Sounds like you’re jealous. Class warfare isn’t too conservative.

The reason that he annoys me is that he’s a completely unproductive member of society. While so many people his age struggle to pay for college and make ends meet, Lennox parades around engaged in immature stunts with financial backing he certainly didn’t earn for himself.

It’s not an issue of jealousy. He’s simply an example of a problem that exists today. Conservatives like to say that they support individualism and the idea of everyone having an equal chance in life, but many are simply spoiled-brats like Lennox who have done nothing yet receive the benefits of having done something.

I suppose life isn’t fair, and that’s certainly true, but I have a hard time supporting what this kid is doing because he’s really nothing more than a spoiled brat who derives a sense of self-worth by pulling immature stunts and seeing himself on TV. Hardly the kind of person we should look at and admire.
