In TENNESSEE, convention attendees heard from state representative Doug Overbey, Lamar Alexander’s political director Jeremy Harrell and CRNC National Field Director Will Crosswell (who has a write-up on the TN convention here).

The following officers were elected at the Convention for the 2008-2009 school year:

Chairman Jared Anderson (Vanderbilt)
Vice Chairman Cameron Pruette (Lee)
Secretary Taylor Tompkins (UT Chattanooga)
Treasurer Justin Black (ETSU)
Public Relations Director Graham Stewart (Austin Peay)
East Vice Chair Ryan Turbeville (UT Knoxville)
Middle Vice Chair Eric Deems (Belmont)
West Vice Chair Rich Casada (UT Martin)

All of our officers are new board members, except for Jared Anderson.

The TN CRs also debated and approved several “tweaked” versions constitutional amendments that Mr. Anderson. Some of the approved constitutional changes included the addition of a Board of Directors consisting of the state’s chapter chairmen to mirror the national board and add a layer of accountability.

The TN CRs also agreed on language concerning proxy voting. Which, as I recall, was at the center of previous TN CR convention disputes.

Overall, we elected an outstanding team, resolved several longstanding factional conflicts, and made new friends. The future looks very bright for TNCR.

yeah, no drama there except for UTC trying to cheat and pretending to pad their membership to 1200. Only Vandy got away with that though. like they really had 1800…
