Conventions: Send us the scoop on yours
By punch bowl | April 15, 2008
Specifically, this post seeks out information on upcoming elections, including, but not limited to: Tennessee, Maryland, Louisiana and Texas
From here on out, every Thursday CR Nation will write a convention run-down post. The purpose is to give a concise snapshot of College Republican events taking place each week as federations elect new leadership, voted onconstitutional amendments, and CRs gather ahead of the 2008 elections.
It is important, as Fall 2008 approaches, that we move forward in unity together. To do that, we have to know which CRs have been elected to what positions and where. The more interconnected we are, the better activists we become.
Additionally, it is important for College Republicans to have a sense of the history of our organization as a whole, as this can impact and positively influence decision-making.
In order to facilitate these goals, we here at CR Nation need your help.
What we are asking is that you send us the scoop on your election a few days before it is set to take place.
In an e-mail, tell us if there is a contested election; how contested it is; who is likely to win; if somone is running unopposed, tell us who it is and why they are unopposed; are there consitutional amendments; and anything else that you feel might be interesting.
Please note, we do not expect you to be a current federation chair to send this e-mail. We welcome scoops from each and every College Republican. So don’t let the fact that you are not “important,” prevent from giving us the scoop on your state’s convention.
For anyone wanting to, you can send us an e-mail at crnation@gmail.com.
Thanks in advance for your help and we look forward to hearing from you!
