Remember Willie Horton?
By rawhide | April 23, 2008
One of the political operatives behind the famous “Willie Horton” ad that helped Daddy Bush win the White House is back on the attack. In an ad released just a few days ago, Floyd Brown and the National Campaign Fund hope to do to Barack Obama what was done to Michael Dukakis 20 years ago.

(From an independent group, Americans for Bush):
CR note: The great Lee Atwater was responsible for the Willie Horton ads. Atwater was state chairman of the South Carolina College Republicans and ran Karl Rove’s campaign for CRNC national chairman. Atwater tragically died of a brain tumor on March 29, 1991. Many believe that had he lived, Bush could have won re-election in 1992.
