Peter Paul v. William Jefferson Clinton
By lace | May 3, 2008
For those who are not aware, former President Clinton is charged with, in his attempts to gain 1.2 million for his wife’s 2000 senatorial bid, defrauding a multi-millionaire (Peter Paul).
Peter Paul claims he is the one who helped launch Hillary Clinton’s political career and should now be feared as her worst nightmare. In his own words…
It’s very simple. I was her single largest donor when she first ran for Senate in 2000. However, that wasn’t my real intention. In a nutshell, the Clintons and their agents “coerced” me into making donations to Hillary’s campaign — to the tune of nearly $2 million — so that President Bill Clinton would come to work as a “rainmaker” for my new entertainment company once he left office.
President Clinton promised me that if I helped him elect Hillary to the Senate, he would work with me for one year.
Only one catch: I had to organize and underwrite a huge million-dollar fundraising event for Hillary’s Senate campaign. Which I did.Turns out, it was the largest privately produced concert in the history of Hollywood.
It cost me over $1.2 million out of my own pocket — and it raised about $1 million in desperately needed ‘hard money” for Hillary’s campaign. However, that gala event also turned into the single largest case of federal campaign fraud in U.S. history! Not by me, but by the Clintons.
Apparently, Hillary ordered a White House staffer to participate in a little illegal campaign work. The staffer was instructed to underwrite the contributions of Peter Paul’s gala to the FEC report, while also told not to record Peter Paul’s contributions. Later, Mr. Paul’s business deal failed as President Clinton cut him out and never delivered the money he promised to get from Japan.
Bill’s Clinton’s actions, according to Peter Paul, destroyed his company and made him lose $60 million in equity (the business deal fell through and the Clinton’s intentionally ruined his name). Peter Paul also has a tape recording of Hillary admitting that Mr. Paul gave beaucoup money. The recording reveals that Hillary solicited donations from Cher and Diana Ross in amounts illegal to the FEC’s limits.
I’m not quite sure I buy the whole “I was coerced into helping them” bit. Mr. Paul worked pretty hard by himself to garner support from several popular Hollywood stars. He also went along with this scheme for the wrong reasons. However, this story is not unbelievable given the track record of the Clintons.
The suit was filed in 2001 and a judge recently ruled that Hillary does not have to appear as a witness until after the election. Peter Paul even has a website describing his case, which can be examined at www.paulvclinton.com He accepts contributions toward his legal fees.

This sounds like the concert that landed one of her campaign treasurers in jail for understating expenses.
