This is retarded. How is the CRNC doing this? I am a state officer and I had no clue there was a competition going on, and I’m pretty sure neither did my chairman.

It’s a great idea, but the timing was horrible. I know most of the students in my state are completely swamped with finals work and don’t have any free time at all to recruit right now. This recruitment competition should have taken place at least two weeks ago, not at the very end of the year when everyone is frantically trying to write papers and study for exams.

Your Chairman received an email about the contest. If he/she didn’t tell you about it, then take the problem up with them–not the CRNC

Go do something useful instead of spewing your bitterness out on here. You comment posters must be the biggest losers ever.

Timing is always tough, finals for some is break for others. Don’t worry, there will be other contests (both through storm and otherwise) focused on a variety of different things including; recruitment, online activism, voter registration and on the ground grassroots activism that we all know and love.
The reason this is useful is because having reliable mediums for states and chapters to communicate with activists is key to running a good statewide effort. Developing that foundation now will help local organizations be more effective and prepared for the fall.
If you ever have ideas, or concerns about any of the programs we run, I am always available to answer questions and discuss criticisms. My email is eeilon@crnc.org
