    I’m conservative and Reagan was a good president, but let’s be honest–20 years before Reagan’s ‘84 landslide, we also had a conservative (Goldwater) on the ballot. We all know how that turned out.

    Winning presidential elections is not about how conservative our candidate is, but more to do with how conservative the electorate feels on election day.
