Obama is spending the money. Even though he has the most and can afford to, if these spending habits keep up, McCain will surpass him financially.

Clinton spent more than she raised this quarter.

McCain is slowly building his account as he recently held a number of fundraisers at the homes of wealthy Republicans.

Although McCain is trailing Obama by a significant margin (30+ million), there is a caveat that is hopeful.

Combined McCain and the RNC have $62 million cash on hand. This is $11 more than the combined total of Obama and the DNC.
