Luna’s candidate loses
By punch bowl | June 4, 2008
Former NJ CR chair Frank Luna was managing Jack Kelly’s congressional campaign. Yesterday Jack Kelly lost the three way primary fight by 23%.
Jack Kelly received 26% of the vote. Justin Murphy’ tally was 25%. And the winner, Chris Myers, garnered 49%.
Terence Grado, current chairman of the NJ CRs, reports that “there were factors out of his [Mr. Luna’s] control” that explain the loss and that Mr. Luna “did a great job running the race.”
Mr. Grado further stated that Mr. Luna “is without a doubt one of the hardest working GOP operatives in the state, and party operatives in NJ know it. He gets things done…But it will definitely not be the last of Luna.”

Come on guys….Kelly finished with 26%, Murphy 25, and Myers 49
Great thing about politics…there is always another election.
We have a lot of work to do this cycle so everyone must ask themselves every day: What have I done today to help elect a Republican?
Rock on.

Luna ran a great campaign for Jack Kelly. Myers is a solid candidate to try and hold the seat. Medford is Myers’ hometown (he’s mayor) with like 40,000 registered voters and that’s a nice advantage when you’re going into a low turnout primary.
