Missouri CRs protest Obama visit
By punch bowl | June 13, 2008
Last Monday, Barak Obama was in St. Louis, MO for a fundraiser and a staged event at a local hospital.
That night, outside the fundraiser, the Missouri CRs held a protest. With 25 in attendance, they held signs saying “Change we can’t afford” or “Obama loves taxes” to bring to light Obama’s big government, liberal voting record on taxes and spending.
The MO CR vice-chairwoman, Amy Kaufman, was involved in planning the protest.. Here is what she had this to say when asked “How Barack is doing in Missouri?”:
Barack is doing fairly well in Missouri, especially because of the number of native Chicagoans that live in the city. Nonetheless, the race is still EXTREMELY close here, and support is really pooled depending on the county.
Like any protest, the point is to get media attention. As a result of the protest, the CRs earned media in several local newspapers, websites and TV stations.

Yes native Chicagoans are the problem….what about the liberal Kansas City, St. Louis, and Columbians???

Come on now! You got enough junk of your own to worry about our junk bothering you. I’d say Barack’s success in MO really has little to do with the vast number of Chicagoans that live in Missouri.

I think her point may have been that Obama is from a neighboring state and nearly a third of Missouri’s population hears Illinois news as well.

Point of Inquiry if I may…..If a Chicagoan moves to say…..Hannibal, or Sikeston or St. Joe…..somewhere in Missouri are they a Missourian or a Chicagoan?
