CRs and College Admins

By punch bowl | June 20, 2008

Michael Ubbens, a senior at Susquehanna University, was recently featured on Backbone Radio, a radio program in Denver.

The topic of the show was conservative students getting along with liberal administrations.

Ubbens, the Chairman of the Susquehanna University College Republicans and Co-Chairman of the Pennsylvania Federation of College Republicans, discussed a situation that occurred as a result of a recent speaker, Joseph Phillips, he invited to campus.

Basically what happened (what always happens) is the University was invited to participate in and support the event. The faculty expressed concerns about the speaker (Smith opposes affirmative action) and then decided to plan their own event.
