By lace | July 7, 2008
The Pennsylvania Federation of College Republicans has a new website that is designed to fundraise, recruit, and keep up with politcal technology. The PA Federation’s website made news on two blogs in state. Click here to view the site.

Sometimes it seems that no matter what you do, you’re always going to have your detractors…
The PACRs have worked very hard to make sure that our website has information that everyone could use, but that’s not to say that we’re not doing other things as well…
I personally spent all day on the 4th of July campaigning for our Attorney General candidate, who is running for re-election… Just because our website is making news doesn’t mean that we aren’t involved in other activities…
Our members are going door-to-door, working in phone banks, helping with lit drops, and walking in parades. We are working our butts off to make sure that we bring more Republicans back into office in November, and our members have been a big part of that. Evidently, some people just can’t help seeing other people be successful.

To reiterate what Jessica said, we the Pa CRs are multi-tasking in every sense of the word.
When creating this state board I purposely chose certain people with certain specialties so that while one person is coordinating door to door, another person is making contacts with every single campaign in the state of Pennsylvania, another person is creating and maintaining the incredible new website, while another person writes and sends press releases on our activities to news papers and TV stations around the state, and while others are work tireless on fundraising.
These things are all just the tip of the iceberg of what the PA CRs are doing now and will be doing in the future. Check our incredible new website now and then and you will see what incredible things the largest and most organized federation in the country is doing.
On a side note, check our new and improved caucus system. It may be the perfect model for other federations around the country to learn how to organize and make the greatest impact in their respective state.

Where is the money going? Is there a PAC? I don’t know PA election laws, but on a federal level they are illegal if they ever do anything for federal candidates.

That’s only if you are financially contributing to candidates.

expert-
Or if they are using a federal candidate’s name to raise money

By federal law (and most state laws). CRs (since they aren’t part of the Republican Party anymore) cannot coordinate their activity with candidates.

We do not do anything illegal and are completely knowledgable of what we can and cannot do. Crnation readers have no need to be concerned with our financial issues.

Wow, you completely missed the intent of my post.
PA CR’s are probably doing a fantastic job, no question. The point of my post is that Paypal (or anything like it) is a rather mundane thing to be reporting on. It was more a rag on crnation, not PA CR’s. Why don’t they report on the meaningful things you guys do? Why do they post on something most state federations have on their websites? See what I mean?
