Conservative student calls for Michigan constitutional convention
By punch bowl | July 13, 2008
Conservative student activist Dennis Lennox is calling for a constitutional convention in Michigan to solve that state’s problems.
Lennox spent a semester studying the Michigan constitution and feels that a convention is “the best weapon” Michigan has to solve its looming problems, such as a massive budget shortfall.
After calling for a convention, critics decried his proposal. Lennox responds to those criticisms here.
