CR candidate update: Tyler Clark, Zach Smith
By punch bowl | July 30, 2008
Tyler Clark and Zach Smith have a lot in common. Aside from being young and Republican…
1. They both graduated from the University of Maine at Preque in 2008.
2. They both ran for the Maine state house in 2006….and lost.
3. They are both running again this year.
4. And they are both running on the same issue: reforming school district consolidation.
As noted, both lost in 2006. Clark lost by a vote of 1,881 to 1,122 and Smith by a vote of 2,150 to 710. Both lost to popular incumbents. But neither will be running against the same person this time around, something Mr. Clark and Mr. Smith say is to their advantage.
Here is a video of Mr. Clark talking about his campaign:
Good luck to them both!
