Next on the list is Kathleen Bracken.
Ms. Bracken attends the University of Virginia, where she is majoring in systems engineering. She was one of six students in the U.S. to receive a 2007 Lockheed Martin Distinguished Student Award for academic excellence in engineering.
She has interned at the CIA and is a member of Young America’s Foundation’s “Club 100,” which recognizes the country’s top conservative leader-activists. She is an officer of the Network of Enlightened Women (NEW) at UVA, a conservative advocacy organization and belongs to the College Republicans.
She also teaches Sunday School at her local Roman Catholic Church, and is a member of UVA’s alpine ski and snowboard team.
How does she find the time. Damn! Congratulations, Ms. Bracken, no only for winning the scholarship, but for surviving that schedule.
