Back to talking about the field program and its effectiveness. CRNC staffer Tierra Warren writes on a post dated 9/17 on her blog about firing at least one field rep and such poor recruiting that national staffers have had to fly-in to help. She also notes that one of the reps from CO was moved to AZ:
“Currently, I’m in Phoenix “on business”. I was actually working at ASU the last couple days recruiting college students into the ASU College Republicans club with one of my field reps. Each of the Field Directors in the Field Program has to go to their worst state and help their rep recruit. We had to fire the rep I had in AZ and pull one of my Colorado kids so I decided I would meet up with him to help him out. My other co workers are going to Georgia, New Hampshire/Maine, and Illinois, I believe. It’s been fun. Super hot. I have some good you tube footage and a few pictures I’ll have to post on Friday once I’m back in DC. We recruited close to 250 people in two days in 98 degree weather. I have a nice tan going on that I’m super stoked about. I was actually born in Phoenix and lived here until I was 11 but my grandparents still leave here so I had dinner with them last night. It was good to see them, of course.
Tomorrow morning I have a 7 am flight back to DC. Get into DC around 6:30 pm est via Atlanta. Pictures and video to come.”
