The College Republicans at West Virginia University are starting a newspaper to compete with the campus newspaper:
A group of West Virginia University students led by the school’s College Republicans hopes to start a new publication to compete with the current student newspaper.
Chris Walters, president of College Republicans and founder of the Mountaineer Jeffersonian, said his monthly paper is scheduled to hit the Morgantown campus on Oct. 14 and 15 and is intended as a conservative alternative to The Daily Athenaeum.
