“Why are College Republicans allowed in Ohio?”

By cr nation | October 14, 2008

Attacks by College Democrats just won’t stop. A few hours after last night’s post on the New York College Democrats, Bobby Hoying wrote the following on an Buckeye Planet, a Ohio State message board:

Why Are College Republicans Allowed In Ohio?

——————————————————————————–

I can’t believe that College Republican chanpters are allowed in Ohio, what purpose do they serve! College Democrats support the working man and woman, but College Republicans don’t help anyone just the rich.

Tell Ohio colleges to throw out all students who are members of the College Republicans!

Less than 20 minutes later, a moderator temporarily banned Bobby from the message board:

Take a few days off to cool off, read the rules and decide if you want to be a part of this community.

Hopefully you can find time for this in between seeting over Winston Churchill & republicans.

Just another example of what “change” really means to the Democratic Party.

It only proves that he’s a whining baby, and expects everyone to listen.

Perhaps they could teach proper use of the English language and to own up to their personal responsibilities.

Man these communists they are crazy!! (Sarcasm) I love how republicans love to spread this idea of hate! Stand up for something other then the rich, toe tapping criminals that make up the Republican party. Be real and stand up for Main st. rather then Wall St. and K st. Man Republicans make me sick.

I am not surprised one bit that Democrats in Ohio are fed up with College Republicans because we are showing on every campus that Barack Obama does not own the youth vote in Ohio. Not only have we seen record recruitment, growing our membership two, three, and four-fold on our campuses, but we have built a presence on 6 new campuses this fall, with plans in place to expand further beyond our 43 campus network of thousands of College Republicans.

We are out working hard on campuses across the state, and we have been driving volunteer turnout to Victory Centers and local campaigns since the summertime. Our federation is strong and we have always been more organized and effective than Ohio’s College Democrats and the assortment of leftist groups on Ohio’s campuses.

This misnomer that all College Republicans are rich kids living off of trust funds is absolutely ridiculous, too. Most of our members rely on student loans, second jobs, and even payday lending to finance their education, and join CRs because they know that the Republican Party platform presents them the best opportunity for all Americans to advance themselves and achieve something greater.

No one is talking about the fact that the Democrats coordinated efforts to steal the election in the Same Day Register & Vote period was a tremendous flop, either, and simply proves that support for Barack Obama does not run deep on our campuses, it is merely another fad that is running its course.

College students want substance and results, not merely casting blame on everyone but the Democrat Party and calling it “Hope” and “Change”, when it is nothing more than the same old bag of tricks.

If anyone else uses the Main Street and Wall Street metaphor, I am going to pull every hair on my head out.
