Bristow Announces for GOP Youth Chair

By punch bowl | November 10, 2008

Press release verbatim:

Lansing (November 10, 2008) — The leading voice of conservatism at Michigan State University has announced that he’s a candidate for the open position of youth chairman in the Michigan Republican Party.

Kyle Bristow will actively campaign for the youth chairmanship, which will be elected at the State Republican Convention in February 2009.

“Michigan’s next generation of Republicans need a leader who is committed to defeating the liberals and spreading conservatism,” said Bristow. “They want a youth chairman who is focused on them — someone who will get results.”

Bristow, 22, recently served as chairman of the Young Americans for Freedom chapters at MSU. He has been involved in numerous political campaigns and is a former intern at the Virginia-based Leadership Institute, which trains up-and-coming conservatives in the tactics they need to defeat liberals.

Good for Mr. Bristow, but this strikes me something someone does just for the title, which is an attitude our party desperately needs to move away from…

We need less bickering and posturing for positions and titles; and more bickering and posturing for votes and demographic groups, especially in states like Michigan…but that is if you ask me…
