Rumor from Capitol Hill
By sage of monticello | November 27, 2008
The rumor buzzing around the Hill this Turkey Day - among those that are there anyway - is that Hillary Clinton will be appointted Secretary of State and, this is the juicy part, Bill Clinton will be appointed to fill her Senate seat…gasp….
Interesting scenario. Apparently, politicos in New York are ticked off…

We all know it’s going to be Madame Secretary.
There is a rumor that Bill will be appointed, but that is total bs. You have to be pretty nieve to even consider that happening.
Look for a black person to fill the Senate seat.

I highly highly doubt Billy wants to go to the Senate. He fully plans on taking in all he can over the next 4 years when his Hilarys job at State ends and he loses his freedom again.
On a more serious note, the Dem’s will most certainly pick someone that will be able to hold off a strong challenge from someone like Rudy. Bill Clinton’s appointment would create to much outrage and backlash come time for his likely election bid in 2012.

The senate seat will be filled by Andrew Cuomo, a Western NY Dem Congressman, or a Hispanic from somewhere in NYC who is in congress or some high local position.
Bill Clinton in the senate is just absurd.
