Video of recently elected Wisconsin College Republican Chairwoman Lora Rae Anderson addressing the audience at the 2009 Wisconsin Republican convention. Not a bad speech. I ask: a rising CR star in Wisconsin?

From a press release sent to CR Nation:

College Republican leader Michael Antonopoulos announced his candidacy for Chairman of the California College Republicans this morning. Antonopoulos is joined by a talented group of student leaders from across California who have signed onto his Revolutionize CCR platform.

“The California College Republicans are the national benchmark for a successful student political organization,” said Antonopoulos. “Our team will expand upon this tradition of success and see that CCR continues to be a significant political force in years to come.”

Antonopoulos, a senior at St. Mary’s College, currently serves as CCR’s Administrative Vice Chairman and was the California Chairman of Students for McCain during the 2008 election cycle.

Among the student leaders joining Antonopoulos are CCR Los Angeles Regional Vice-Chair Falicia Mandel as Co-Chair, Southern Regional Vice-Chair Megan Rodriguez as Administrative Vice-Chair, Students for McCain Northern Chair Tierney Burke as Treasurer, Students for McCain Executive Director Rene Rodgers as Secretary and CCR Treasurer Matthew Donnellan as Executive Director.

Other elected and appointed positions, along with a preliminary list of endorsements, have been announced on the team’s website at www.RevolutionizeCCR.com.

What a great team! Revolutionize CCR will continue to bring energy, organization, and ideas to College Republicans!

Sounds like a very experienced group of people running. CCR looks like it is going in the right direction with Michael Antonopoulos.

I have worked with many of these students in the past* and have found their organizational skills and ability to run events and see results to be nothing less than impressive

Michael is a great guy. He leads from the front. He actually does the things he asks others to do, such as walk precincts and work phone banks. He’ll be a fantastic leader for California.

Anyone running against Antonolpulous? I’ve heard some rumors about the chair of USC Crs running, but don’t think he’s done much over there, and he has a city council race coming up. Anyone from CA Crs have more info?

Im a California College Republican and really like the leadership of Michael Antonopoulos and feel he is the true future of CCR. Revolutionize CCR is the Best for the Job!

The slate looks very representative of the entire state with lots of hard workers committed to CCR!

Revolutionize CCR has a great slate, and CCR will have a bright future under Anton’s leadership. I don’t know of another slate for CCR that can bring together the qualifications, experience and dedication to the success of CCR than this one has. Great team!

Anton is the hardest working most dedicated CR I have met. He has put together a great team with Revolutionize CCR, and I have no doubts that the organization will thrive under his leadership.

A wonderful slate is coming out against Revolutionize CCR.

Anton would make an awesome Chair but, why is he supporting a candidate for Admin Vice who was unanimously impeached from her own club?
