Campaign Manager Bails On Former CRNC Intern

It is being reported that Lance Robinson’s campaign manager, Jud Seymour, has left the campaign.

Mr. Robinson is currently running to become the next Chairman of the College Republican National Committee (CNRC).

Several state chairs speculate that Mr. Seymour “saw the writing on the wall,” as Mr. Robinson, it’s said, is having problems picking up even the slightest amount of support.

I wanted to clear things up before any blatant rumors get started. I will not be involved in the Robinson campaign because of educational and professional reasons. As I am in my last two semesters of Graduate School, I am required to do a full time internship that will not allow any time for travel or outside work. This is not because there is a lack of confidence or momentum in the campaign or Lance. It would not be fair if I was unable to give my full attention to this campaign or my education. Again this is not because I “saw the writing on the wall” as some would like you all to think. Yet, it is a matter of me obtaining a Graduate Degree and pursuing various career options.

Yours,
Jud Seymour

Isn’t this a few weeks old? When Lance called me, he was clearly covering for not having Judd around, and wouldn’t answer questions about it when pressed.

Why do you guys continue to attack this guy? What has he done to you? Seriously??? There is either a really good story there, or you are just in love with zach.

You guys are worse than Dan Rather as you obviously did not do your research before posting this. Quit trying to railroad this guy. Do you really think he’s that big of a threat that you need to ruin your credibility?

I am still interested in seeing platforms for these CRNC chair candidates.

This has nothing to do with Zach. It has to do with Lance being an incompetent candidate and an incapable chairman. It should be offensive to everyone on the current board who worked hard to get to get and keep their positions as opposed to Lance, whose only qualification appears to be an unpaid internship at the CRNC.

you can see lance’s platform at electlancerobinson.com and his bio

Since when did we start bashing unpaid internships? I don’t understand how we turn against each other so rapidly in the face of competition. Honestly, seeing people bash Lance makes me want to support him more. Check out both candidates’ websites and judge critique based upon their platforms. Just a thought.

Looking over his website, reading his bio and his plan for the CRNC – I like him. I think multiple candidates can only benefit the CRNC.

I don’t think “pay attention” was bashing unpaid internships. He was attacking the idea that an intern is qualified to LEAD the entire organization. Is someone who does a legal clerkship qualified to be a judge? Is someone who does a finance internship qualified to lead Citigroup’s floor trading operation? Clearly not. There is a great deal of further experience necessary before the intern can hope to lead the organization he interned for. The CRNC, with it’s multi-million dollar budget and demanding fundraising is no different.

Just a Thought-

Just because Lance was an intern, doesn’t somehow mean that’s the only experience he has. According to him, he’s been a chapter leader and Treasurer of the Arizona fed. Therefore, your argument is a logical fallacy, based on incomplete information, and is clearly not objective.

The only thing he hasn’t been is a state chair. Can someone explain to me why that would be necessary and/or the sole basis of experience to be national chair? Exacty what experence prepares you to raise millions and spend millions (and in the case of the current and two previous administration, spend MORE than you raise)? Exactly what experience did Charlie have, outside being a state chair?

You want to know the truth of what qualifications it takes to be national chair?

Relationships and submission to powerful Republicans. In Charlie’s case, Chuck Yob et al.

Unfortunately, the CRNC is less about representing the people they’re suppose to be, CRs, and more about acting as puppets for outsiders…
