Primary Colors: Not another Big-Government “Conservative”

I can’t support Mike Huckabee. As a conservative, I am for a smaller and less intrusive federal government. A government that honors freedom, reduces regulation, lessens the tax burden, stays out of people’s lives. Mke Huckabee’s message fails on all accounts. His messages indicates...

The report out of California is that Michael Antonopoulos has won in a landslide, beating Adam Ellison by an overwhelming margin of 416-18.

No word on the outcome of the rest of the positions.

I wonder how strong Mr. Antonopoulos’s coattails were? Did Red State Rising gain any traction at all?

Clark upsets in Arizona, elected Chairman

This weekend, Andrew Clark was elected Chairman of the Arizona College Republicans. The outgoing Chairman, Matt Wharton, supported Ry Ellison.

As of several days ago, “committed” delegate counts stood at a tie (22 to 22) and reports had the vote going down to the wire. Rumor had it that Lance Robinson and Benjamin Stuart were only undecided votes and thus had the power to determine the outcome of the election.

Well, the outcome is as follows:

Chair: Andrew Clark
Vice-Chair Chapter Relations: Jessica Bender
Vice-Chair Finance: Mike Bolitho
Secretary: Coty Mckenzie

Going forward, Arizona College Republican Joshua Turner writes:

It is now time to put aside the negativity of the past few weeks and rebuild. It must be remembered that we are the party of Washington, Madison, Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Eisenhower and Reagan. We can no longer afford to stoop to the level of our opponents but we must be willing to mend fences and begin rebuilding. Congrats to all the candidates and thank you to the past board.

If anyone has the vote count, I would like to know that. Also, if anyone has the scoop on how Lance and Ben voted, I would like to hear about that too. Feel free to leave a comment or to email us at crnation@gmail.com.

Oh, I almost forgot, I am also waiting on a more detailed report from an Arizona contact, so this will most likely be a preliminary taste of what happened in Arizona this weekend. Check back later for more details.

Today, Arizona and New Jersey elected new leadership. When I find out who was elected and to what positions, I will be sure to post.

Tomorrow, the saga in California (hopefully) will end. The election is slated to be in the morning.

Maine has its convention next weekend.

Did I miss a convention? If so, be sure to point it out in a comment or email to crnation@gmail.com
