McCain Behind Democrats in Texas Fundraising

Sunday, May 11th, 2008

The center for Responsive Politics reports that Senator John McCain has raised less money in Texas than his Democratic counterparts. The numbers are:
McCain: $5.5 million
Clinton: $6.8 million
Obama: $6 million
Typically, Texas has been known to be a state with Republican money ready and willing to be donated. In 2004, President George W. Bush raised $23 million […]

McCain’s mom

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

Mom McCain probably will be seen quite often this election season. One way to downplay concerns about your age is to show that your mom is still alive, looks great and has incredible energy. And if your mom can still do so much, surely you can, right? That’s the logic, and that’s why we’ll see […]

Only John McCain…

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

…would talk about climate change and raising fuel-economy standards just miles from the big Delphi and General Motors plants while in Michigan yesterday. Supposedly, you could hear crickets in the audience.
McCain fared a little better, so the story goes, when he announced he would appoint like-minded Democrats to his cabinet.

…for John McCain’s VP.

Reports of McCain losing steam-WRONG!

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

Rasmussen Reports show John McCain tied with Hillary Clinton and ahead of Barack Obama. But I thought Hillary was unstoppable. Barack was to be unbeatable. Even CNN can’t deny John McCain’s  appeal. If Senator McCain keeps this up(and picks a strong running mate), the Democrats “cakewalk” will take a serious detour.

Songs and the Presidential Candidates

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

On a lighter note, I am wondering what kind of songs do you think describe the presidential candidates? Here are my suggestions for the Democrats:
Barack Obama
“Pocketful of Sunshine” by Natasha Bettingfield. I heard this on American Idol. How utopian can you get? The lyrics certainly fit the nirvana feeling his supporters feel. Creepy? Oh yeah.
“Cult […]

Less is More: Changing Campaign Finance

Friday, May 2nd, 2008

Every little bit does count, especially for Senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. As a general rule, campaign cash seems to be leaning more on the petty side as opposed to the elite building up a candidate’s war chest. From the year 2000 up to the recent April FEC reporting quarter, contributions less than $200 […]

John McCain and Hamas

Thursday, May 1st, 2008

First of all, thanks to CR Nation and all of the great crew.
The first issue I wanted to discuss was Senator McCain bringing up Hamas’ kind words for Senator Obama.
Newsmax reported:
Fox News recalled that two weeks ago in an interview with WABC radio and WorldNetDaily the Hamas’ Yousef(spokesman) declared that the […]
