“Uncle John’s Cabin”

That’s what John Edwards’ new 28,200 square foot house is being called, a very humerous nickname alluding to his recent poverty tour. The house is the most valuable home in the county, located on a 102-acre estate just west of Chapel Hill. There are two garages, a barn and a recreation building....

Please vote in the CR Nation poll to the left, and by doing so voice your opinion on which College Republican State Federation is the best in the country.

In the very early going, it looks like a tight race will emerge between two Midwest titans, Michigan and Missouri.

UPDATE: California takes a big early lead. Will they be able to hold on? Do any of the other state feds have a come-back in ‘em?

UPDATE II: Missouri has charged back with an impressive showing over the last several hours and now leads California by a significant margin.

UPDATE III: California has countered and now stands tied with Missouri. Michigan, D.C., Ohio and Minnesota are all distant observers.

UPDATE IV: After taking a strong 70+ vote lead late last night, California has again succumb to the pressure of Missouri and finds itself down by 80+ votes.

UPDATE V: Missouri has continued with its apparently strong GOTV operation and now leads California by near 200 votes. Can California come-back? Or is it too late…

Gallup finds that after three days in office 68% of Americans approve of the job he is doing.

How does that compare to past Presidents? Consider this:

Gallup’s initial job approval ratings for President John F. Kennedy were 72 percent; Dwight Eisenhower, 68 percent; Jimmy Carter, 66 percent; Richard Nixon, 59 percent; George W. Bush, 57 percent; and Ronald Regan and George H.W. Bush, 51 percent.
