USA TODAY reports, in a recent poll, that only 47% of Clinton backers support Obama.

John McCain now leads over Obama by 5 percentage points nationally according to the latest Zogby poll. This erases Obama’s solid 7-point lead he held in July.
Other numbers worthy of note are:
Obama’s support among Democrats fell 9 percentage points this month to 74 percent, while McCain has the backing of 81 percent of Republicans.

The poll also found support for drilling among people not Republican. 57% of Democrats and 61% of independent voters see finding new energy sources as a priority.

McCain Youth: McCain gains 20 points among young voters

A recently released Zogby poll found the McCain has gained 20 points among voters aged 18-29 while Obama has lost 16 points. Unfortunately, however, overall our demographic still prefers Obama by a margin of 49%-38%.
The poll had some other interesting findings, such as McCain has gained ground with women, independents, catholics and minorities.

A Gallup poll is showing a substantial jump in the polls for Barack Obama following his Euro Trip. The poll now has Barack Obama up 49% - 40% over Big Mac.
One must wonder whether Gallup included Europeans in this poll as they often received more attention from Obama than did American soldiers.
