Yesterday, Sen. Tom Coburn (The Butcher) proposed an amendment to the Transportation Appropriations Bill that would have prohibited earmarks in the bill for bike paths - instead directing them to road and bridge safety. Makes sense in the wake of the I-35 bridge collapse in Minnesota.
