Obama *hearts* Putin’s Russia

By windstone | August 11, 2008

Michael Goldfarb at The McCain Report, John McCormack over at The Weekly Standard, and Politico’s Jonathan Martin tackle  Kremlin’s candidate Barack Obama and his tacit support for  the authoritarian regime in Moscow picking on  Georgia,a mostly democratic country and U.S. ally . Do we really want a president who toes the line of Putin and puppet president Dmitri Medvedev? Uh, no.

And it has. Peggy Noonan agrees and she says so in her latest article. One of the best articles I have read this cycle.

Minnesota College Republicans “bracket” Obama fundraiser

By punch bowl | August 8, 2008

At a recent Obama fundraiser in Minnesota, the MNCRs were out in force to mock Obama’s “comprehensive” energy plan which, in his own words, encompasses little more than properly inflating your tires and getting regular tune-ups.

By sage of monticello | August 8, 2008

Grosskopf takes reins of WI CRs

By punch bowl | August 8, 2008

Don’t know what happened to Mr. Carow, but I just received a press release from the WI CRs stating that “by operation” of their constitution Sol Grosskopf, WI Vice-Chair under Carow, has been elevated from that position to the position of chairman.

Serving as the new vice-chairman will be Luke Fuller from Marquette. Treasurer Jeff Bloomer (UW-Madison) and secretary Ashley Carrington (UW-Whitewater) round out the WI CR executive team.

Congrats to Sol, but what happened to Mr. Carow? The press release makes no mention.
